Acne Paper launched in 2005 as a biannual magazine blending fashion, art, and culture with a focus on how the past shapes the present. Edited by Thomas Persson and published by Acne Studios, it featured diverse topics—from 15th-century tapestries to LGBTQ culture—beyond typical brand content. After a brief run until 2014, Acne Paper returned in 2021 with a fresh design, expanded format, and continued focus on interdisciplinary cultural exploration.
Acne Paper’s twentieth-anniversary edition, Golden, celebrates two decades of creativity from 2005 to 2025. This issue explores the theme of gold—both as a symbol and material—highlighting warmth, hope, and transformation across fashion stories, essays, and art. The cover features actress and model Raya Martigny by Szilveszter Makó, with contributions from rising and established artists alike. Highlights include fashion editorials by Sarah Moon, Patti Wilson, Leslie Zhang, and others, weaving a rich tapestry of inspiration.
